Ambassador Romualdez will share his perspectives on U.S.-Philippine relations, and on maritime tensions in the South China Sea. \n\nAmb. Jose Manuel Romualdez was first appointed by then-President Rodrigo Duterte in 2017. He was re-appointed in 2022 by current Philippine President Ferdinand Romauldez Marcos, Jr. A veteran leading journalist, publisher and executive in Manila, Amb. Romualdez has led business delegations to the United States, Japan and other countries since the late 1980s.
