Join us for a delightful evening of Italian wine tasting at the DACOR Bacon House. A curated selection of sparkling, white and red wine will guide attendees through the various regions and grapes of Italy. Matched food pairings will be served with the wine.
Leading the event is Michiko Matsuura, Winebow Heritage Fine Wine Specialist. She will be assisted by her colleague Missy Pankow.
Michiko Matsuura is a seasoned wine professional with over a decade of experience in the restaurant and wine industries. After relocating to Austin, Texas, ten years ago, she quickly became a part of the city's vibrant restaurant scene, where she honed her expertise and developed a refined palate. Her dedication to the craft led to her certification as a sommelier and completion of WSET Level 3 in 2018, paving the way for a successful transition into wine distribution.
In 2022, Michiko achieved the prestigious WSET Diploma, further solidifying her expertise and commitment to the wine industry. She recently relocated to Richmond, Virginia, where she will serve as the Heritage Fine Wine Specialist for Winebow in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Missy Pankow is a Certified Winebow Professional and DACOR's Sales Consultant. She has a WSET Level 3 and a Master of Champage certification from the Wine Scholar Guild. She has expertly led multiple wine, whiskey and other tastings at DACOR. Missy is also the principal clarinetist with teh Arlington Concert Band.
