We are pleased to announce that Linda S. Bishai, PhD, the Director of Research, Evaluation and Learning Division of the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ROLI) will be the speaker at the November 13th Salon, open to all members of DACOR and their guests. Dr. Bishai will discuss challenges to rule of law initiatives in an increasingly illiberal world.

She has also focused on peacebuilding education and training, electoral violence prevention, CVE, and security sector/community dialogue at USIP and in her courses at
George Washington University. She has also taught at Brunel University, the London School of Economics, the University of Stockholm and Georgetown University.

Her research interests include identity politics, sovereignty and states of emergency, and the international use of force. During 2003-2004, Bishai served as a Supreme Court Fellow at the Federal Judicial Center.
