2020 DACOR Bacon House Ornament
$100.00 USD

Perfect for your home or as a gift, this year's DACOR Bacon House Ornament features the impressive giltwood mirror and black marble fireplace found in the North Drawing Room. A Geroge III Chippendale period mirror by Thomas Johnson, ca. 1760, it portrays the Aesop's Fable of The Old Dog and His Master. Purchased in London in 1906 by American heiress Alice Copley Thaw, the mirror was brought to Washington and installed in the DACOR Bacon House along with the fireplace it sits upon in 1911 after Thaw purchased the House.

The metal ornament uses stacked layers to create a 3D effect. Each ornament comes with a storage box and information about the image.

All proceeds from the purchase of our ornaments go to the DACOR Bacon House Foundation's House Preservation Fund. Support our historic house through the purchase of a holiday ornament.
