DACOR Bacon House by William D. Calderhead
$10.00 USD

Following the history of the DACOR Bacon House from its construction in 1825 until DACOR, an organization of foreign affairs professionals, relocated to the building in 1986, DACOR Bacon House focuses on the owners and most famous residents of one of the few remaining early private homes in the President's Neighborhood. Built just two blocks from the White House, for over 200 years the House has been owned by influential social and political figures in Washington, DC.

The House is an historic national treasure that serves as a living testament to America's political, cultural, and diplomatic heritage. Steeped in significance since the early days of the Republic, it has served as the host to our nation's leaders as they discussed and debated the critical issues facing the United States. Today, it is a center for international dialogue and understanding and opens its doors daily to the foreign affairs community in support of their important diplomatic work.
